Canon, Ilford team up to offer free photo prints

Test out a professional Canon photo printer and see what a difference high-quality photo paper makes--all for free.

Got a photo from Father's Day or a recent graduation you've been meaning print, but haven't gotten around to yet? Well, photo paper manufacturer Ilford and Canon can help you out with that.

For a limited time, U.S. residents can upload a favorite photo and have it printed on Ilford Galerie Smooth Pearl paper using select Canon Pixma Pro series printers, either the Pro9000 Mark II or Pro9500 Mark II. Basically, Canon would like you to see the quality of its pro printers and picked the Smooth Pearl paper to do so by offering up a free 8.5x11 print.

Just click over to Canon's Try My Photo site, create an account (e-mail, password, name, and address), and upload your photo. Pick your paper (if you don't want the Ilford you can choose a Canon paper) and select which printer you'd like to try.

The print will then be mailed to you, but there is a limit of one print per household.
