Order champagne, and a drone flies it to you
One percenters take note. A luxury hotel in Sausalito, Calif., is flying in bottles of bubbly via a specially equipped drone. Get your fancy-pants credit card out though, because it'll cost you.
As a perk for staying in the posh 5,000-square-foot Alexandrite Suite at Northern California's The Mansion at Casa Madrona, you can sit back and have perfectly chilled bottles of champagne delivered to you -- by a remote-controlled flying machine.
An overnight stay at the exclusive and recently renovated guest quarters in Sausalito will set you back $10,000, but where else in the world can you have a drone fetch your drink and fly it to the deck of your room?
The mad geniuses at the resort are already outfitting new machines to offer cookie (and other less extravagant) deliveries via drone.
Here's a peek of the "spirited" octocopter, which can carry two bottles, in action.
