Best phones of Mobile World Congress we won't get in the UK

Check out the coolest phones at Mobile World Congress that won't be coming to the UK, in our heartbreaking video.

Mobile World Congress has concluded, but not before forever enriching our lives with a tantalising glimpse at the year's upcoming smart phones and tablets. But even the bluest skies can contain the odd raincloud -- my indescribable joy at going hands-on with all the latest tech was hampered by the knowledge that loads of the phones and tablets I was seeing would never go on sale in the UK.

Heartbreaking stuff. So grab a hankie and press play on the video above, as I guide you through the best phones of MWC that may never make it to our green and pleasant land.

You'll get an eyeful of the Samsung Galaxy Blaze 4G , a welcome addition to the Samsung Galaxy stable, but which we're not allowed to play with because our poxy networks can't handle the phone's 4G tech.

The realisation that we'll never see this phone sitting pretty in Carphone Warehouse makes learning about its 4-inch Super AMOLED display, 1.5GHz dual-core processor and slick design all the more painful. Hey, nobody said this would be easy.

If you can bear to go on, you'll also get eyes-on time with the LG Optimus Pad LTE, a dead-skinny Android tablet with an 8-megapixel camera that's staying in South Korea for now, as well as Huawei's slick-looking Ascend P1 LTE.

All that, plus Panasonic's waterproof, megapixel-packed Lumix phone , and a Fujitsu smart phone that doesn't even have a name yet, but nevertheless is a mere 6.7mm thick and, er, also waterproof.

All these mobiles remain out of reach, but hope springs eternal -- Panasonic is rumoured to have designs on bringing the Lumix phone to Europe , while Fujitsu is plotting to bring its mobiles over here as well.

For now though we'll have to be patient, and try not to be consumed by jealousy. If death-by-jealousy seems like a possibility, you could assuage your agony by eyeing up all the exciting mobiles that will be heading to the UK.

What was your favourite phone of Mobile World Congress? Are there any other phones we don't get that you'd love to get your mitts on? Speak your mind in the comments box below, or over on our Facebook wall.
