Some of the cool high-end laptops from Asus we saw way back at CES 2010 are finally ready to hit the streets, including the Asus NX90J -- the Bang & Olufsen themed multimedia laptop we've been waiting for since January.
Some of the cool high-end laptops from Asus we saw way back at CES 2010 are finally ready to hit the streets, according to the company. These include interesting systems such as the Asus NX90J -- the Bang & Olufsen themed.
Designed by Bang & Olufsen designer David Lewis, this 18.4-inch laptop has two giant touchpads -- one on each side of the keyboard. Highlights include a Core i7 CPU, 8GB of RAM, and 1.2TB of hard drive space. Available at the end of September, for $2,299.
A 15-inch laptop featuring Nvidia's new GeForce GT425M GPU and audio design by Bang & Olufsen ICEpower. Available at the end of September, for $999.
Asus Eee PC 1015PEM
A 10-inch Netbook with Intel's N550 dual-core CPU, the Eee PC 1015 also includes Bluetooth and USB 3.0, all in a very tiny package. Available later this week, for $379.
Asus ROJ G73Jw
Essentially the same 17-inch was reviewed back in April, this updated version includes the new 1.5GB Nvidia GeForce GTX460M GPU. Available at the end of September, for $1,799.
Asus WiCast EW2000
Arguably the most interesting of these new announcements, the WiCast is Asus' verison of technology. The company claims it, "offers wireless streaming of 1080P media with almost no latency." It reminds us more than a little of , in that both leave your laptop and TV tethered to large outboard boxes, while at the same time, avoiding the latency and lower resolutions that are the weak points of Intel's Wireless Display. Available later this week, for $199.
