REVIEW

Sony Action Cam AS100V

Built-in image stabilization and high bitrate recording make this Sony's best Action Cam yet, but there are still a few usability quirks remaining.

Sony Handycam HDR-CX220
REVIEW

Sony Handycam HDR-CX220 ( Black)

The only thing the Sony Handycam HDR-CX220 seems to have going for it is the low price, but "you get what you pay for" has never rung truer.

Sony Handycam HDR-CX210
REVIEW

Sony Handycam HDR-CX210 ( Silver)

They're cheap and capture video, but don't buy the Sony Handycam HDR-CX190, CX200 or CX210 thinking that you're getting a great bargain on a real HD camcorder. If you're going to buy one, get the cheapest; nothing on any of these is really worth the extra bucks.

Sony Handycam DCR-SX85E
REVIEW

Sony Handycam DCR-SX85E ( Silver)

Sony's Handycam DCR-SX45, SX65, and SX85 standard-definition camcorders pack a megazoom lens at a reasonable price; one look at the standard-definition video, though, and you might regret not spending a bit more for an HD model.

Sony Handycam HDR-CX130E PAL
REVIEW

Sony Handycam HDR-CX130E PAL ( Black)

Typical for their price class, the no-frills Sony Handycam HDR-CX130, CX160, and XR160 produce generally subpar HD video, but if you're not picky you'll probably be fine. The CX130 is the best buy of the three, as long as you go cheap on the memory card.

Sony Handycam HDR-CX550V
REVIEW

Sony Handycam HDR-CX550V

The Sony Handycam HDR-CX550V fares well compared with the competition, though its video could be a bit sharper and the interface less cumbersome. Unless you absolutely need to store a lot of video on the camcorder--which I don't suggest--or if have large hands that could benefit from the extra grip that the hard drive provides, the CX550V is a better deal than its hard-disk-based sibling.
