Reviewed on September 7, 2009The HP Officejet Pro 8500 wireless makes a convincing inkjet argument for offices with a high volume of prints. With a function touch screen, multiple networking options, and an astoundingly fast print speed, it makes perfect sense to give this workhorse an Editors' Choice award.TAGS:tray, HP OfficeJet, fax, HP, printer, touch screen, scanner, photograph, USB

The fax, copy, print, and scanning features boast helpful extras like double-sided printing, wireless connectivity, separate photo trays, and quick-access control panel buttons, all while maintaining lab-quality photos and a low cost to print. We highly recommend this printer to anyone who can benefit from its multifunctionality.TAGS:printing, fax, printer, Eastman Kodak Co., scanner, HP Photosmart, control panel, photograph, HP, digital camera, camera
Reviewed on January 26, 2011If you print a high volume of monochrome and color documents, the Dell 1350cnw color laser printer delivers strong results with a variety of wired and wireless networking options. As long as you're patient with its sluggish output speed and small LED screen, we recommend the Dell 1350cnw for use in a small business or home office.TAGS:laser printer, laser, printer, tray, Dell, Ethernet, networking, control panel, Wi-Fi, button, LCD, HP, Microsoft Windows
Reviewed on December 19, 2010For all the cool points the HP Photosmart eStation C510 earns for Web-connectivity features like ePrint and the detachable Android-powered Zeen, we're holding off on our recommendation until HP drops the price and fixes the user interface bugs and network errors that marred our testing.TAGS:tablet, printer, HP, printing, HP Photosmart, SD card, wireless network, Wi-Fi, Google Inc., operating system
Reviewed on April 14, 2004The HP LaserJet 3015 does the trick for students and families, but small businesses can do better with a different printer.TAGS:HP LaserJet, HP, printer
Reviewed on September 25, 2009The Lexmark Platinum Pro 905 is a fully capable all-in-one business device, but its touch screen might throw a wrench in your workflow. The Smart Solutions widgets add virtual customization to the control panel, but we wish Lexmark had retained a few hard buttons as well. As the top dog in the Lexmark printer family, the Platinum Pro 905 does the job, but the HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless does it better.TAGS:Lexmark, tray, touch screen, printer, HP OfficeJet, button, LCD, HP
Reviewed on April 28, 2009The Color LaserJet CP1215 is HP's entry-level printer built to serve small workgroups, but it suffers from frustratingly slow print speeds, a missing LCD screen, and other problems. Your $299 will go much further with the Dell 1320c, another color laser with faster print speeds for the same price.TAGS:laser, laser printer, tray, printer, networking, HP, control panel, Apple Macintosh, LCD, operating system, Microsoft Windows
Reviewed on November 16, 2010Boasting a touch-screen display, an app store, and ePrint (a remote printing service), the HP Envy 100 features loads of innovation in a slickly designed chassis. We wouldn't buy this printer for its image quality, but the convenience of ePrint and the potential of the ePrintCenter app store earn the HP Envy 100 our recommendation.TAGS:tray, sheet, multifunction printer, storage media, touch screen, printing, printer, HP, fax
Reviewed on April 14, 2009Although the HP CP2025n is rather slow to print black documents and is missing supplementary features such as USB-direct printing and wireless, the color laser shines in output quality, and the software holds your hand through a somewhat daunting learning curve. The CP2025n also has a high monthly duty-cycle, so we recommend it to anyone hunting for a workhorse printer to complement an equally diligent work environment.TAGS:color laser printer, laser printer, printer, tray, HP, printing, LCD, USB port
Reviewed on November 19, 2004A great little monochrome laser printer, it offers fine output, duplexing, and a tight footprint that lets it fit right into any business, school, or home office.TAGS:HP, HP LaserJet, printer, e-mail
Reviewed on June 14, 2009We like the simplicity of the HP Officejet 6000 single-function inkjet printer. The print quality meets HP's high standards, and it outputs full color photos at an impressive rate, but its lack of an LCD screen takes some getting used to. Nevertheless, the HP Officjet 6000 performed well and earns our recommendation as a great single-function printer.TAGS:HP OfficeJet, tray, cartridge, media card reader, printer, multifunction printer, LCD screen, HP, light-emitting diode, LCD, Canon Inc., USB, photograph
Reviewed on September 27, 2009Aside from the never-ending name, the HP Photosmart Premium TouchSmart Web All-in-One Printer looks good and prints high-quality photos at competitive speeds. We also appreciate the effort put into the downloadable applications for the interactive touch screen, but the innovation is offset by a hefty price tag. Unless Web connectivity and touch screens are a top priority, we recommend checking out HP's other multifunction printers, which still offer high performance but at a much lower cost.TAGS:printer, tray, multifunction printer, HP Photosmart, touch screen, sheet, HP, USB port, photograph

Reviewed on June 13, 2006The HP Color LaserJet 1600 printer is the same printer as the HP CLJ 2600n with fewer features. Unlike the 2600n, the 1600 is not network ready and can be connected only via USB. Finally, the CLJ 1600 printer is compatible only with Windows-based PCs; the 2600n works with both PCs and Macs. Because both models use the same processor and memory, performance and print quality should be the same, so our assessment of those aspects of the 2600n stand for the 1600 as well. With its basic features and smaller price tag (about $299), the HP CLJ 1600 is better suited for home office environments.TAGS:tray, HP, printer, memory, PC
Reviewed on June 29, 2009HP's basic Deskjet D2660 inkjet has a fold-up paper tray and a unique paper corral that make it easy to store away. We noticed several flaws in the output quality, but if you don't expect too much in terms of photo output, this $50 inkjet will make an excellent at-home printer for intermittent use.TAGS:Canon Pixma, multifunction printer, tray, printer, HP OfficeJet, Lexmark, HP, fax, Canon Inc., photograph

Reviewed on April 22, 2008It isn't cheap compared to standard printers, but the Canon Pixma iP100 has the highest resolution available in the mobile printer market and prints at an impressive speed to boot. Reviewed on June 6, 2006The HP Color LaserJet 2605dn is the same printer as the Color LaserJet 2605dtn, just pared down a bit. It lacks the third paper tray and the photo memory card slots but costs $200 less than the 2605dtn. Its performance and print quality should be exactly the same as the 2605dtn that we reviewed.TAGS:HP, printer
