Reviewed on August 17, 2009Dell's Mini 10v keeps a lot of the features of the more expensive Mini 10, while dropping the price below $300. It's one of only a handful of $299 Netbooks that doesn't look and feel especially cheap.TAGS:Netbook, HP Mini, SD card, IEEE 802.11, Dell, Wi-Fi, Dell Inspiron, Intel, Bluetooth, broadband, CPU, HP
Reviewed on July 29, 2009HP's biz-minded Mini 5101 is a successor to the Mini 2140 (one of our all-time favorite Netbooks). It looks and feels great, but for a premium-price Netbook, we expect to get more features, not fewer.TAGS:Netbook, keyboard, Expresscard, HP, mouse, Intel
Reviewed on August 11, 2009Dell's popular Mini 10 is the most customizable Netbook we've seen. Adding extras such as a higher-resolution display makes it more useful, but also blurs the price line between Netbooks and mainstream laptops.TAGS:Netbook, HP Mini, Dell Inspiron, SD card, IEEE 802.11, Dell, Wi-Fi, laptop computer, Intel, HP
Reviewed on June 1, 2009While the new, less expensive, HP Mini 110 doesn't stray far from the Mini 1000 mold, there are some subtle changes--not always for the best.TAGS:Netbook, HP Mini, Intel, HP
Reviewed on November 6, 2009With similar results as its ancestors, the Dell Inspiron 545s-1476N registers decent benchmarks and offers respectable upgradability, but we hesitate to recommend it over the older Gateway SX2800-01 that leaves Dell in the dust in regards to both performance and features.TAGS:HP Pavilion SlimLine, Dell Inspiron, Gateway Inc., graphics chip, Dell, Ethernet LAN, Ethernet, HP Pavilion, Intel, HP, PC
Reviewed on June 30, 2009HP's Pavilion p6110y isn't necessarily an offensive system, and its case might even entice you to give it a second look. We just wish HP had taken a more substantive approach to help this desktop stand out. Its FireWire port might sway you, but otherwise you can find more interesting features from other PCs on the shelf.TAGS:HP Pavilion, HP Pavilion SlimLine, ASUS, FireWire, HP, retailer, HDMI, Intel Pentium, Intel, Gateway Inc., motherboard, PC
Reviewed on August 25, 2009Acer's Aspire M5800-U5802A could use some visual polish, but get past its appearance and you'll find a fast, affordable computer that will handle any task you care to throw at it. It's even a decent low-end gaming box. We'd only recommend against this desktop if you demand a computer's appearance match its capabilities.TAGS:HP Pavilion Elite, Acer Aspire, Acer Inc., cover, HP Pavilion, Gateway Inc., 64-bit, ASUS, NVidia, Intel, HP
Reviewed on April 8, 2008Despite an underpowered CPU, the HP 2133 Mini-Note PC offers the best balance of small size, comfort, and functionality we've seen in a mininotebook, making it fast a favorite for on-the-go use.TAGS:Asus Eee PC, Netbook, keyboard, resolution, webcam, ASUS, HP, laptop computer, Intel, PC
Reviewed on June 25, 2008HP's new-and-improved TouchSmart all-in-one PC refines the touch-based concept it introduced last year. Faster all-in-ones, and Apple's iPhone, make the TouchSmart seem a bit behind the times, but the convenient software and its kitchen-friendly design offer functionality that's unavailable elsewhere.TAGS:HP TouchSmart, Averatec, Intel Core 2 Duo, Apple iMac, RSS reader, HP, CPU, Intel
