Reviewed on June 11, 2009We cringe at the idea of recommending such a slow PC when you can get significantly better performance for just a few more dollars. That said, it's hard to argue with the eMachines EL1300G-01w's low price, clean good looks, and relatively complete budget feature set. As long as you have no ambitions for this PC performing anything resembling serious work, it will make a fine second or third home system.TAGS:eMachines Inc., HP Pavilion SlimLine, Apple Intel Mac Mini, AMD Athlon, Dell Inspiron, 32-bit, Nvidia GeForce, Dell, AMD, NVidia, HP, Apple Macintosh, PC
Reviewed on July 21, 2008With stiff competition from other sub-$400 PCs, eMachines' T5247 has a hard time standing out. It will certainly serve as a basic productivity system, but other desktops will help you stretch your computer dollar even further.TAGS:eMachines Inc., Acer Inc., 32-bit, Gateway Inc., Ethernet, adapter, Dell, Intel, hard drive, PC
Reviewed on May 15, 2008eMachines T3646 is one of the cheapest desktops available, and unfortunately it shows. It offers some compelling performance, but basic capability is more important in budget systems, and we found this system came up short compared with others in its price range.TAGS:eMachines Inc., Apple Mac Mini, HP Pavilion, HP, Apple Computer, CPU, Linux, operating system
Reviewed on June 22, 2007HP's new Compaq Presario SR5050NX squeaks by its direct eMachines competition, but both of those systems fall behind to HP's own SlimLine desktops in terms of features and performance. If you're looking for a basic desktop with expandability, though, we give this system the nod.TAGS:eMachines Inc., Compaq Presario, expandability, HP Pavilion SlimLine, iBuyPower, HP Pavilion, HP, PC, hard drive
Reviewed on February 11, 2008eMachines nailed the $300-$400 desktop with the T3642. It has a faster CPU, a larger hard drive, and is generally more capable than any other system in this price category. We would recommend it over anything else out there for the same price.TAGS:eMachines Inc., AMD Athlon, Lenovo, dual-core, Intel Pentium, AMD, hard drive, PC
