Reviewed on November 19, 2009HP's new Envy 15 packs high-powered components into a svelte 15-inch body. The result is an upscale status symbol that still shows a few first-generation rough edges.TAGS:Voodoo, Blu-ray disc, Blu-ray, HP, keyboard, laptop computer, battery, Web browser
Reviewed on November 25, 2009The HP Pavilion dv7-3065dx is a low-cost, big-screen laptop that will win you over with its Blu-ray player and pleasing design. It may lose you, however, when you hear its speakers.TAGS:HP Pavilion, Blu-ray, Media Center PC, HP, laptop computer, speakers, keyboard, DVD, Dell
Reviewed on October 7, 2009The $799 ZT Affinity 7334Ma's stellar performance benchmarks, Blu-ray drive, and plenty of room for expansion give it a step up from the competition. ZT still needs help in the external design department, but this system certainly earns our recommendation as a workhorse do-it-all system.TAGS:HP Pavilion Elite, Blu-ray drive, HP Pavilion, Blu-ray, ATI Radeon, AMD, 64-bit, HP, ATI Technologies, PC
Reviewed on July 31, 2009We've never loved HP's Pavilion Elite PCs, and this desktop offers the same scattershot configuration that has always put us off. That said, we suspect a dorm room might actually be an appropriate place for a midtower that offers acceptable speed on top of Blu-ray capability. Just know that faster, more specialized desktops are available for less.TAGS:HP Pavilion Elite, HP Pavilion, Blu-ray, ASUS, HP, 64-bit, networking, AMD, 3D, Ethernet, hard drive
Reviewed on July 2, 2009The Asus Essentio CM5570-AP002 isn't an overly remarkable desktop, but it has a few extra features that help it stand out. Its Wi-Fi and HDMI video out port give it some unique capabilities, and the best part is that Asus still manages to keep the price down. It's hard not to like this system, even though we wish Asus had more comprehensive support.TAGS:ASUS, HP Pavilion SlimLine, Blu-ray drive, HP Pavilion, Blu-ray, Gateway Inc., Intel, 64-bit, HP, Intel Pentium, PC, Microsoft Windows
Reviewed on December 12, 2008No other all-in-one PC can offer touch-based input or an LCD screen as large as that of the HP TouchSmart IQ816. It's hard to deny that those features make this a compelling desktop for families with a place to put it. Weak performance hinders its suitability for work, and it's not the best digital entertainment center, but we recommend this system to anyone looking to get in early on the touch-computing experiment.TAGS:HP TouchSmart, Intel Core 2 Duo, IEEE 802.11n, Blu-ray, digital audio, HP, 64-bit, PC, Intel, Microsoft Windows
Reviewed on June 18, 2007We can't imagine the market for a 15-inch home theater laptop with Blu-ray is very large, but the Sony VAIO FZ180 certainly fits the bill--even if it's preloaded with unwanted come-ons for other Sony products.TAGS:Sony Vaio, Blu-ray, Sony Corp., keyboard, multimedia, laptop computer, movie, LCD, Dell, HP
Reviewed on August 24, 2007If not for the short warranty, the Gateway FPD2275W would have taken home an Editors' Choice award for its winning design, feature set, and performance. If you can live with a one-year warranty (or spring for the extended coverage), we recommend this stellar 22-inch wide-screen LCD.TAGS:Gateway Inc., stand, ViewSonic Corp., display, adjustment, Blu-ray, HD-DVD, USB 2.0, LCD, HP, video, USB, monitor, DVD
Reviewed on August 27, 2007Even if you don't care that ViewSonic's VG2030wm lacks HD DVD or Blu-ray support, we can't give this LCD monitor a strong recommendation simply because there are too many better, more capable displays on the market for the same price. Its image quality is fine, but that's not enough.TAGS:ViewSonic Corp., LCD monitor, NEC Electronics Corp., LCD, display, monitor, HD-DVD, Blu-ray, HP, games
