Apple iMac (24-inch, 2.8GHz)
Reviewed on May 1, 2008
A slight bump to the specifications for the same price in addition to a much appreciated option to upgrade the graphics means the 24-inch iMac keeps the Editors' Choice it earned last year when the brushed-aluminum-and-glass design was first introduced.

Apple iMac (20-inch, 2.4GHz, 1GB RAM)
Reviewed on August 8, 2007
With its super-elegant new design and a strong configuration, Apple's new iMac competes with the PC desktop market better than perhaps any previous Mac to date. Unless you're a gamer or an upgrade enthusiast, we can think of very few reasons not to make an iMac your next desktop.

HP TouchSmart IQ506
Reviewed on June 25, 2008
HP's new-and-improved TouchSmart all-in-one PC refines the touch-based concept it introduced last year. Faster all-in-ones, and Apple's iPhone, make the TouchSmart seem a bit behind the times, but the convenient software and its kitchen-friendly design offer functionality that's unavailable elsewhere.

Averatec All-in-One
Reviewed on June 20, 2008
Like other Windows-based all-in-ones, Averatec's All-in-One can't compete with the iMac for sheer power. The Averatec's larger screen and few features it has that Apple doesn't might be enough to sell you, but the iMac remains the all-in-one to beat.

Apple iMac Core Duo (20-inch, 2.0GHz)
Reviewed on January 19, 2006
Apple's Intel-based iMac Core Duo boasts an enviable combination of a first-rate design, an impeccable software bundle, and the newfound ability to run Windows in addition to Mac OS X. You simply won't find a more feature-packed, versatile mainstream computer.

Gateway One GZ7220
Reviewed on September 27, 2007
The Gateway One desktop computer introduces a few cool design improvements to the all-in-one desktop concept, but it loses major points in performance and overall value. We'd recommend the faster, more affordable iMac instead, unless you have a serious aversion to the Mac OS and aren't inclined to use Boot Camp.

HP Pavilion Elite m9300t
Reviewed on August 18, 2008
At its heart, the HP Pavilion Elite m9300t is a fast, competitive midtower desktop with lots of flexibility in its configuration. You just have to wade through some clunky design and a few components you might not want in order to find it.

Apple iMac Core 2 Duo (17-inch, 1.83GHz)
Reviewed on September 14, 2006
The 17-inch iMac is missing a few features you might like--SuperDrive and a remote control, to name two--but it still makes a stellar home PC, thanks to its great design, new Core 2 Duo processor, and superior software bundle. Plus, its price makes it a borderline budget PC.
