Reviewed on September 19, 2007With the same elegant design as its 20-inch, 2.4GHz sibling, the 24-inch, 2.8GHz iMac offers 30 percent more screen area and a modest performance boost. Reviewed on January 7, 2007HP's new TouchSmart PC IQ770 is not as fast as Apple's iMac, nor does it have the same clean-lined elegance. It makes up for those problems with intuitive touch screen software you'll actually use and a comprehensive lineup of features. If you're looking for a home PC to organize your family's schedule, or serve up media in a kitchen or another small room, we know of no other system suited so well for the task.TAGS:HP TouchSmart, Apple iMac, touch screen, HP, stylus, Microsoft Windows Vista, family, Apple Computer, mouse, keyboard, PC, operating system, Microsoft Windows
Reviewed on September 11, 2006Other vendors might offer more flexible configurations and better deals on components, and the specter of HD video looms darkly, but the 24-inch iMac's sprawling display and convincingly capable features should set most people's minds at ease. We highly recommend this new iMac as a PC that doubles as a secondary home-entertainment system.TAGS:Apple iMac, Intel Core 2 Duo, Apple Computer, Dell XPS, graphics chip, vendor, LCD, PC, hard drive
