Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010 (CD-ROM, 1-Year License)
Reviewed on August 25, 2009
Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010 offers pricey antivirus protection. The 2009 version scored well on independent antivirus detection and removal tests, but be prepared to pay a premium for what you're getting.

PC Tools Internet Security 2010 (1 User, 3 PCs)
Reviewed on December 4, 2009
We're big fans of PC Tools Internet Security's ThreatFire component, and the overall toolset that PC Tools provides is robust, but the suite could be both faster and easier to use.

Zone Alarm Extreme Security 2010
Reviewed on October 8, 2009

Norton 360 2.0
Reviewed on March 3, 2008
A near-perfect all-in-one solution for brand new PCs, Norton 360 v2 may be hard to install and run on legacy machines. However, don't count on Symantec's time-consuming and expensive technical support for help.

Windows Live OneCare
Reviewed on February 26, 2007
Windows Live OneCare doesn't provide as many unique features and often repackages tools already available for free within the Windows operating system. For $30 more, it's well worth investing in the solutions from McAfee or Symantec, and we give the final nod to Norton 360 which ensures the best protection and performance tools for your money.

CA Internet Security Suite 2007
Reviewed on March 2, 2007
CA Internet Security Suite 2007 feels like a pasted-together trial version of what CA offers in terms of consumer protection. The suite fails to integrate and lacks antiphishing, antirootkit, and basic IM protection found elsewhere.

Trend Micro Antivirus plus Antispyware 2007 is a modest product, with its weak antivirus protection balanced by its superior antispyware protection, but it offers nowhere near the overall protection and value of other antivirus products we've seen.
