Reviewed on November 24, 2008Even if we have a few reservations about this system, we can't deny that Alienware has an outstanding deal on its hands, with the Area 51 X58. It offers the same core hardware and twice the storage capacity as PCs that cost $1,500 more. High-end bargain hunters, assuming they exist, will find an amazing deal in this PC.TAGS:Alienware, ATI Radeon, Gigabit Ethernet, ATI Technologies, Blu-ray, Intel, 64-bit, Samsung Electronics, hard drive, games, PC
Reviewed on September 9, 2004The Alienware DHS-301 Media Center PC makes a capable and stylish addition to any entertainment center, but for its middle-of-the-road PC components, the price tag is awfully high.TAGS:Alienware, knowledge base, knowledge

Reviewed on July 27, 2006It's not the fastest PC (it's second), nor is it the most competitively priced, but Alienware's Area-51 7500 does have the most innovative case. With a wholly customizable lighting scheme in its new chassis, Alienware makes case lights functional, a trick no one has really pulled off yet. That and its fast performance make it stand above other current high-end PCs.TAGS:Alienware, chassis, Intel Core 2 Duo, Velocity Micro, front, leader, Intel, CPU, PC, games, Dell
Reviewed on October 6, 2006We raved about Alienware's new case when we first saw it earlier this year, and we still like it here on the Area-51 5500, even if its innovative lighting system is only half-baked. What we like even more is the power this gaming PC serves up for the price.TAGS:Alienware, Intel Core 2 Duo, Microsoft Office, video card, games, Intel, ATI Technologies, DVD, PC, Microsoft Corp.
Reviewed on November 16, 2007The HP Pavilion Slimline s3200t offers perhaps the strongest bang for the buck we've ever seen thanks to its HD DVD/Blu-ray hybrid optical drive and its strong overall configuration. It outclasses every other HD-equipped system we've seen so far. If you're shopping for a living room PC and want complete HD format flexibility, this is the system we'd buy.TAGS:HP Pavilion SlimLine, HD-DVD, Blu-ray, HP Pavilion, copy protection, Alienware, HP, optical drive, ATI Technologies, DVD, TV, NVidia, movie, Sony Corp., PC, Dell
Reviewed on May 30, 2006Alienware's Quad SLI PC features four distinct 3D graphics processors, placing it among the most advanced consumer PCs around. But we're not convinced that this expensive Nvidia technology delivers enough 3D muscle for the money. Furthermore, we'd caution anyone about buying an ultra-high-end desktop now, with Windows Vista and new 3D features right around the corner.TAGS:Alienware, Cyberpower, 3D, NVidia, resolution, gamer, setting, games, Dell, ATI Technologies, PC
