If not for the short warranty, the Gateway FPD2275W would have taken home an Editors' Choice award for its winning design, feature set, and performance. If you can live with a one-year warranty (or spring for the extended coverage), we recommend this stellar 22-inch wide-screen LCD.

The Samsung SyncMaster 940BF delivers a clear, vivid picture for games and DVDs, but overall we found it average; other monitors offer more adjustability and features and better performance for less.

The 20-inch wide screen BenQ FP202W features a fast 8-millisecond pixel response rate, but its motion performance isn't particularly impressive, and it offers fewer features and less adjustability than other less expensive models.
