The Sony Handycam DCR-SR45 has a good design and reasonable feature set for its price, but the video quality doesn't measure up to the rest of the package.

Those looking to wake up to their iPod's tunes should consider the Memorex iWake, an affordable clock-radio option with sleeker styling than its competitors. Sound quality could be better, though.

As long as you don't need seriously high-resolution photos, video capture, or machine-gun-fast sports shooting, the Nikon D700 has everything you need in a pro full-frame camera for a reasonable price.

The Wireless Sensor Bar is invaluable for large, complicated Wii-equipped home theater setups, but you don't really need it if your Wii is right next to your television.

The new Sony Altus MDR-D777LP headphones aren't quite up to audiophile standards, but they do have some interesting features and offer good sound quality for the price. Frequent fliers who find in-ear 'buds uncomfortable should take heed.

Though the Canon HR10 is a decent camcorder, there are better choices for the same money because format performance and compatibility issues make it hard to recommend a DVD-based AVCHD model.

The WGR101 has a couple of nice touches you won't find in other travel routers. Unfortunately, it's neither as elegantly designed nor as full featured as Apple's more expensive AirPort Express.
