In a vacuum, the HP LaserJet 2727nf is a fine mono laser multifunction for small offices. But its price and feature set are out of whack with the competition: you can get more for the same money, or you can pay less for the same features.

The Lexmark X3550 is a middle-of-the-road multifunction printer with an affordable starting price and reasonable ink refill costs. Photo prints leave something to be desired, but it performs the rest of its tasks acceptably well.

The Lexmark X2500 surprised us with its combination of rock-bottom price, full feature set, and decent task speeds. It's not for everyone, but it's a good match for a light user looking for a bargain.

The Cardo S-800 is certainly a compact and full-featured Bluetooth headset, but it is seriously marred by design imperfections.
