If you're a MySpace addict or a wannabe hipster, the Hero from Helio may be for you. But no instant messaging and no Bluetooth plus lackluster media options and a high price tag means the Hero definitely isn't for everyone.

The Helio Music store is great if you're an existing Helio customer who needs to get a music fix while on the go. However, we suggest waiting a little while longer for Helio to really ramp up its service with a full-fledged PC store.

The attractive Helio Kickflip offers high-end features, such as a 2-megapixel camera and EV-DO support, and is the better phone of the carrier's two offerings. Unfortunately, it's plagued by the lack of Bluetooth and instant-messaging options; plus, the call quality is subpar.

The Helio Heat is a decent affordable alternative to the Drift, but the trade-offs are high. Even though we were willing to forgive its low-grade speakerphone and lack of microSD card slot due to its lower price tag, the mediocre sound quality and unintuitive touch-pad buttons might be enough to make you plunk down the extra cash for the Drift instead.

The Helio Fin is perhaps too thin for its own good, with several design compromises that place slimness over usability. If you can look past these flaws, however, the Fin is a feature-packed phone with excellent performance.
