While it's not compatible with your cable company's interactive and video-on-demand services, the TiVo HD's excellent onscreen interface and long list of network and Internet features puts it in a class above the generic high-def DVRs offered by most cable providers.

SanDisk Cruzer Titanium Plus boasts an innovative set of features, fast data transfers, and a complimentary six-month online backup subscription, but we're put off by the subsequent annual service fee and the expensive retail price, especially when other drives at equal capacity cost much less.

SBC Yahoo lacks some features found with other ISP plans, but you can't beat its low-cost, high-speed price.

Obopay is an easy and convenient way to send and receive money, and the prepaid Mastercard option is a clever method of money management for teens. The service won't replace your wallet, however, and because of the many fees involved, hard cash may still be your best friend.
