Zyxel Home Plug Powerline Ethernet Adapter (200 Mbps)
Reviewed on February 7, 2007
The Zyxel PLA-400 is a compelling alternative to a wireless home network, but the competition offers faster throughput for about the same price.

NetGear WGR101 54 Mbps Cable/DSL Wireless Travel Router
Reviewed on September 23, 2004
The WGR101 has a couple of nice touches you won't find in other travel routers. Unfortunately, it's neither as elegantly designed nor as full featured as Apple's more expensive AirPort Express.

Drobo DroboShare
Reviewed on April 15, 2008
For those bemoaning the lack of network support on last year's innovative Drobo drive, DroboShare offers Gigabit Ethernet and as simple and straightforward a setup as we found with the direct-attached Drobo.

Linksys Instant PowerLine USB adapter
Reviewed on June 6, 2003
The PLUSB10 is a good choice for connecting to a power-line network through a USB connection, but its bulk can make it difficult to plug into outlets in tight spaces.

LaCie Biggest FW800 (2 terabyte)
Reviewed on July 12, 2007
If you need the fast throughput of a locally connected RAID array, the LaCie Biggest FW800 is a good choice, but if you don't mind the slower transfer speeds of Ethernet, a NAS RAID array can be less expensive and offer more features.
