If you can look past a few minor issues, we can think of few people who would be unhappy to own HP's new w2207 LCD. Its attractive design, outstanding overall performance, and approachable price tag make this one of our favorite 22-inch screens to date.

Dell's UltraSharp 2407WFP-HC widescreen monitor gives you tons of input flexibility, strong moving image quality, and a handful of other features that will endear you to it as a digital entertainment display. It's not as strong as we'd like with static images, however, making this display not as well suited to demanding image and graphics professionals.

With good performance, a stylish design, and all the flexibility we could ask for in a monitor, the Dell UltraSharp 1907FP is one of the few entries in the budget display category that we highly recommend.

It's a little shy on features, and we wouldn't recommend the HP w2007 for HD movie watching. Then again, we wouldn't suggest you use any 20-inch LCD for that purpose. What we did like was the overall image quality of this display, which we found outstanding, and it's ultimately what saves the monitor.

The HP LP2465 is a great business LCD, should your workday require a huge, wide-screen display. Trouble is, Dell has a similar display that gives you more features at roughly the same price.

The Lenovo ThinkVision L2440x is a well-designed 24-inch LCD monitor that's great for movies and games, but the display (and its LED backlighting) is too expensive for the performance and features it supplies.

NEC's MultiSync LCD2470WNX has a higher-than-average price compared to other 24-inch displays, and we just don't see enough of a benefit in image quality to justify the added expense. Features like HDCP-compliance and an amazingly adjustable stand help it keep up with the competition, but for the price, this display needs to do more.

If not for the short warranty, the Gateway FPD2275W would have taken home an Editors' Choice award for its winning design, feature set, and performance. If you can live with a one-year warranty (or spring for the extended coverage), we recommend this stellar 22-inch wide-screen LCD.
