The HP Photosmart C6380 is a good fit for beginning photographers who want more than just a simple printer. Its six-ink cartridge bay, and scanning and copying capabilities extend its versatility, and while the output quality suffers a few missteps, the C6380 remains a worthwhile deal for the money.

It's cheap and compact and delivers acceptable video quality, but the bundled software plagues Microsoft's LifeCam NX-3000 Webcam. Creative has a model for nearly the same price that we like better.

If you want and can afford an Aston Martin DB9, you will probably get one, no matter what anyone else says. But it's nice to know that the cabin electronics are modern enough for cell phones and iPods.

The 2008 Audi R8 is a serious blast to drive on the right roads and would be incredible on the track, but we recommend going with the manual transmission to make it more drivable in everyday circumstances. The cabin electronics work well enough but aren't cutting edge.

The 2007 Honda S2000 is almost pure sports car, more suited for winding roads than trips to the grocery store or the daily commute. It's a car you will dream about driving while you're stuck in the office, and is best used for recreation.
