If you absolutely must have a 12-megapixel compact camera, the DMC-FX100 isn't a bad choice, but you can find better performing cameras with lower pixel counts for the same money.

The DCR-HC30 makes a decent and very compact choice for a budget camcorder, but if you can afford to spend another $100, the DCR-HC40 will give you better video quality.

With its multiple A/V connections and DVD/CD player, the Sony XAV-A1 is a very capable head unit. It's an attractive choice, if you can afford it.
