Reviewed on March 4, 2010 The Iomega iConnect Wireless Data Station is a great device to quickly turn your USB external hard drives into a robust network storage solution. Its compact design and ease of use more than make up for its average throughput performance, which is fast enough for most casual file sharing and backup needs. Reviewed on June 30, 2009 A sexy, slim design and backup software set make a compelling argument for the Seagate BlackArmor PS 110 external hard drive. We like the unique Try and Decide feature preloaded on the drive, and the throughput speed scores stomp the competition. Shoppers on a strict budget should look into the Fujitsu Handydrive for the best cost per gigabyte, but the BlackArmor PS 110 offers many extra features for just a few more dollars more. TAGS: Seagate Technology, FireWire, backup software, Iomega Corp., USB 2.0, Acronis, external hard drive, backup, USB, Apple Macintosh, Apple Mac OS, hard drive, CD, Microsoft Windows CNET review: 8.1 Excellent User rating: 5.3 Average Check prices$244.68 -

Reviewed on August 2, 2010 The 1TB Verbatim Acclaim portable hard drive may appear boring compared with flashier drives, but its sleek size, rapid transfer speeds, and generous seven-year warranty more than make up for its lack of fashion sense. The Acclaim's executive look will likely attract corporate professionals, but we highly recommend its versatility to anyone in need of a storage upgrade. Reviewed on July 7, 2008 The Toshiba USB 2.0 Portable Hard Drive is an attractive, lightweight drive with a decent price point for a drive of this capacity. Its size makes it great for travel, but the write speeds aren't up to par with other drives we've seen. We can't recommend it due to its lack of performance.
