Although more expensive than most similarly sized HDTVs on the market, the stylish Sony KDL-46XBR2 delivers one of the best pictures we've ever seem from an LCD flat-panel.

Although its image quality still can't compete with the plasma competition, the 1080p Vizio GV47LF HDTV is a fine bargain for folks who want an LCD TV.

We'd choose the high-res Westinghouse LVM-37W1 LCD for displaying HDTV or computer signals in a bright room, but less expensive plasmas still win for home theater.

If this camcorder cost $500, we'd give it a much higher rating. But for its quadruple-digit price, we expect far better performance and video quality from the JVC Everio GZ-HD7.

Though it delivers good video with excellent color, the Panasonic AG-HSC1U falls short of its "professional" aspirations in most other ways.

The JVC LT-47X788 offers a decent value for a 1080p LCD, but discriminating viewers can find better performance and more features elsewhere for the same price.
