The closest thing we've got to a Nintendo Wii U launch list
Nintendo did not release a definitive launch list of titles available day one at the company's Wii U preview event, but the Nintendo Web site says 20 games will be available on November 18.
A lot was learned at the Nintendo Wii U preview event in New York this morning, but surprisingly enough, Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime did not deliver a definitive launch list of Wii U titles available alongside the console on November 18.
Instead, much to the attending crowd's chagrin, Fils-Aime said "it's still a little too early to guarantee exactly which games will be here for you on launch day itself and which will come shortly thereafter." Mind you, the "launch window" Fils-Aime is referring to spans from November 18, 2012, all the way to March 31, 2013.
I did a little digging around and found that the games section on the Nintendo Wii U site lists 20 titles as having November 18 release dates. The rest are labeled as "to be determined."
Keep in mind that any of these dates can -- and most likely some of them will -- change, but this information is coming straight from Nintendo.
The games with November 18 release dates are:
- Nintendo Land
- New Super Mario Bros. U
- Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two
- Call of Duty: Black Ops II
- Transformers Prime
- Mass Effect 3: Special Edition
- Madden 13
- Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed
- NBA 2K13
- Assassin's Creed III
- Just Dance 4
- Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth
- Rabbids Land
- Rayman Legends
- ESPN Sports Connection
- Game Party Champions
- Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition
- Your Shape Fitness Evolved 2013
- ZombiU
- Scribblenauts Unlimited
