Sun Microsystems announced it has completed its planned acquisition of HighGround Systems, a company that develops storage software. The $400 million deal gives Sun software that can be used for managing storage systems attached not only to Sun's computers but also to those running Windows. Mark Canepa, named the new head of Sun's storage business, will oversee the software from HighGround.
