Short Take: Irish firm ships CA software

Ireland's Baltimore Technologies has released a new version of its UniCert certification authority (CA) system, which issues digital certificates to authenticate users for Internet shopping, Web banking, and online trading. UniCert is already used as the framework for EuroTrust, a European trusted third-party service operated by Baltimore Technologies for the European Union.
