Short Take: Covad selling DSL to Ford

Covad Communications, a provider of high-speed digital subscriber line (DSL) Internet connections, and Ford Motor have agreed to sell DSL to Ford employees at a special $25-per-month rate. The plan is part of Ford's Model E program under which the automaker's employees can purchase computers, printers and other hardware for a low monthly fee. Big Net, an ISP, and Efficient Networks, a DSL modem maker, also are part of the plan. Ford has 178,000 workers in the U.S.
