Motorola Pro+ wants to give businessmen a buzz
The Motorola Pro+ is hoping to be your business friend by offering various improvements over the original Pro. Will a sharper screen and bigger battery tempt the business-minded?

It was only in February that we laid our elegant hands on the Motorola Pro, but Moto has already updated the handset and given us the Pro+, a Qwerty keyboard Android phone hoping to sit sharply in a businessman's briefcase.
The Pro+ -- not to be confused with the CNET UK fuel caffeine tablets of the same name -- offers various updates from its predecessor, chief of which being the screen, which is now a 3.1-inch Gorilla Glass affair. It packs a resolution of 480x640 pixels, which is the same as the new BlackBerry Bold 9900 and is an improvement over the 320x480 pixels offered on the previous Pro.
The Pro+ has been loaded up with Android 2.3 Gingerbread (improving on the Pro's 2.2 Froyo) so you'll have full access to the hundreds of thousands of apps on the Android Market.
Moto has also shaved a little weight off the original Pro as well as giving the battery a slight boost, although they're such slight improvements we doubt you'd actually notice it in normal use. The 1GHz processor remains the same on the new device, as does the 5-megapixel camera.
When we set our eyeballs on the the original Pro back in February, we were quite keen on the combination of the large 3.1-inch touchscreen and full Qwerty keyboard. It was very similar to a BlackBerry of course, but mimicking designs seems to be the name of the game at the moment, so we can't hold that against Moto.
The Motorola Pro+ will be available from October. Networks and prices are yet to be announced.
