Open-source ERP company gets new top exec
Compiere names a new CEO.
Compiere, a small company that develops open-source enterprise resource planning (ERP) software to help customers manage finance, inventory and other business matters, has named LaVonne Reimer its chief executive officer. Compiere founder and former leader Jorg Janke now will focus on strategy as chief technology officer, the company said Monday.
CEO, Compiere
LaVonne most recently established the Open Technology Business Center in Beaverton, Ore., not far from Compiere's Portland headquarters. Compiere has only a handful of employees, but relies on numerous business partners that sell the software and tailor it for particular customers' needs. Compiere aids in support and shares revenue with those partners, Janke said in an interview at the Open Source Business Conference earlier this month.
