T-Mobile's 2011 road map brimming with Android
A leaked road map for T-Mobile indicates that the remainder of 2011 is full of Android.
T-Mobile is the latest carrier to have its product lineup leaked and, to no one's surprise, it's full of Android phones and tablets.
Customers coming up for renewal between now and the end of 2011 will have plenty of Android-powered options to choose from, as it looks like the wireless provider will be rolling out nearly a dozen new phones and tablets from a variety of manufacturers starting next month.
June 8 will see the debut of two Android phones in the form of the
July looks to offer customers both entry-level and high-end Android choices with a pair of HTC smartphones. T-Mobile kicks the month off with a follow-up to their successful
Shortly thereafter, T-Mobile will introduce the HTC Marvel, a rebranded version of the Wildfire S. The Marvel is a slightly smaller Android smartphone with a 3.2-inch display, an 800MHz processor, and a 5-megapixel camera.
T-Mobile is also expected to offer a variant of the Huawei S7 Slim tablet, possibly with 4G support. A Wi-Fi version of the 7-inch tablet is currently available at Best Buy today, but it runs the older Android 2.2. Considering the vast difference in user experience between Froyo and Honeycomb, I'm really pulling for Android 3.0+ on T-Mobile's version.
