Apple is bringing its pro video feature ProRes to the iPhone 13 later in the year, the company said Tuesday at Apple's September event.

The feature essentially optimizes videos. It's handy for those who color grade or use editing software like Final Cut Pro X or Adobe Premiere Pro. ProRes will let you record up to 4K at 30 frames per second, within the camera app.

CNET's Patrick Holland explains that is can compress video into a small file while keeping a lot of the image quality and color.
