Moto G Play phone lands as Amazon Exclusive
An Amazon Prime Exclusive version of the Moto G Play is on the way. It's $50 less than the full retail price, but there is a catch.
If you're in the market for a new phone, here's an offer to consider. On Tuesday, Amazon added the Moto G Play to its collection of Prime Exclusive handsets.
Available for $100 -- a discount of $50 from its full retail price -- the Android-powered smartphone has modest specs but is unlocked and supports various flavors of 4G LTE.
Specifically the
will be compatible with the big four US wireless carriers (AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon) and likewise supports both CDMA and GSM cellular networks. You'll also be treated to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and a 5-inch, 720p HD resolution screen.This is the third phone for Amazon to offer this way, after the Motorola Moto G and the $50 Blu R1 HD.
Of course, there is a big tradeoff to get your hands in this phone for $50 less. As a Prime Exclusive handset, Amazon will flash ads and offers across the lockscreen. If you're still interested, the
