HTC has begun issuing an Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for the HTC One X+, according to a number of reports.

The high-end smartphone of 2012 is seeing the Android 4.2.2 update with Sense 5 UI, albeit in a limited number of devices. Reportedly, only unlocked One X+ models in Asia are picking up the sizable (484MB) update.

The package gives you the BlinkFeed interface, automatic video highlights, and an updated music app with visualizations. Of course there are standard Android goodies in there, too, including lock screen widgets and the Daydreams feature.

Other HTC One X+ models shouldn't be too far behind with their own updates...I hope. Here in the United States, however, users are at the mercy of carrier AT&T. If history is any indication, it may be a few more weeks (or longer) before Ma Bell gives its Android update blessing.
