Two great recommendation sites for iOS apps

Finding new and interesting apps directly on iTunes isn't easy. Services like these are much better.

iOS users are spoilt for choice with all the apps that are available. In fact, finding good apps that aren't sitting on top of the app charts right now can be a real pain. So here are two services that are well worth a look for some fresh recommendations to explore.

One is Crosswalk. I'm not a fan of the log-in system, as it asks for your iTunes username and password. But even leaving out that step, you can browse the site for interesting recommendations and trends across various categories, as well as by the interests of different types of users, from gamers to photo lovers and more.

The other service is Chomp. Apple liked it so much that it bought the company. For now, you can still see all of the recommendations, as well as what is currently free or on sale right there at chomp. Hopefully, we'll see a lot of these features move directly into iTunes sometime soon.
