This year's E3 press conference isn't so much about big game console debuts: instead, it's about fulfilling the expectations of those consoles. The PlayStation 4 has been a success thus far, beating out Microsoft's Xbox One as the most successful game console of the new generation. But what can Sony do to keep the excitement going?

And, what about the PS Vita ? The embattled handheld just relaunched in a newer, slimmer, Micro-USB-enabled version, but its potential as a PS4 accessory -- and gateway to Sony's upcoming PlayStation Now game-streaming service -- feels underutilized.

Speaking of PlayStation Now, it's one of two major technologies Sony has yet to fully announce launch details for, but is expected soon. That streaming service, and Project Morpheus , Sony's intriguing VR headset prototype that debuted this past spring at GDC, could make for intriguing wild cards during the event.

The CNET Live preshow starts at 5:30 p.m. PT / 8:30 p.m. ET, with hosts Brian Tong and Donald Bell taking your questions via phone and Twitter.
