Here at MacFixIt, we've repeatedly recommended not running as an administrator (though Mac OS X encourages you to do so by default) in daily use as a security precaution. iPhone Atlas now reports on the fact that the iPhone runs most (all?) of its applications/processes as root (superuser, UID 0) -- perhaps its biggest security pitfall.
