StuffIt Expander and DropStuff 5.1.2:various issues

SITPatch copyright issue Aladdin has requested that I refrain from further postings regarding David's SITPatch (see item last time). They claim that the patch is a "copyright infringement of their software." The license reads: "You may not rent or lease the Software, nor may you modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software."

Windows Expander David Krug asked me to post a reminder that, along with the updated versions of Expander and DropStuff for the Mac, Aladdin Expander 5.0 for Windows is also available. This is useful for those times when you want to send a StuffIt-compressed file to a Windows-using colleague.

Little known feature? David Converse notes that the Preferences window of Expander has an Internet Config panel, where you can set which types of files StuffIt Expander will attempt to decompress.

.bin issue A couple of readers (including Gregory Chan) report still having problems with expanding .bin files, even after updating to versions 5.1.2.
