Apple WWDC dates set; Leopard, iPhone tracks

Apple has set the dates for its 2008 Worldwide Developer Conference, which will take place from June 9 - 13 at the Moscone Center West in San Francisco. In addition to the traditional Mac OS X sessions, this will be the first WWDC to offer an iPhone development track built around the recently released iPhone SDK (software development kit).
Apple's site states:
"Get started with the technical foundation and techniques you need to develop world-class Mac OS X applications with sessions that discuss every level of the system, including interface design and implementation, application frameworks, security, localization, and networking."
Among the Leopard-focused areas of instruction:
- "Use Address Book and iCal to store personal information.
- "Talk to other applications through Mac OS X?s rich scripting and automation technologies.
- "Make your mark on the Mac desktop by adding support for Spotlight and Quick Look.
- "Enable spontaneous collaboration through iChat Theater."
Tickets are priced at $1300. You can get a ticket and a select Apple Developer Connection membership for $1700, or a ticket and an Apple Developer Connection Premier Membership for $3500.
