At the Intel Developer Forum on Wednesday in San Francisco, Intel announced that four new Chrome OS devices running Intel's powerful Haswell processor will be coming soon. The head of Google's Android and Chrome divisions, Sundar Pichai, and Intel VP Doug Fisher showed off the three new Chromebooks from Acer, HP, and Toshiba, and a Chromebox from Asus. All will be available later this year; pricing has not yet been specified.

Intel’s latest processors could more than double battery life over previous generations. Google says the new Chromebooks last almost all day so you can focus on getting things done. The new Chromebook appear to be geared primarily toward education, with Google highlighting the fact that more than 5,000 school districts have already deployed <a href="http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-3121_7-57580761-220/living-with-chromebook-giving-googles-os-a-second-chance/" >Chromebooks</a> for their students, representing more than 20 percent of districts in the United States.
