eYada.com goes mute

Online talk radio site eYada.com said it will cease operations because of a drought in advertising dollars and investment capital. The site, which featured interviews with celebrities and topic-oriented discussions, launched in 1999 at the height of the Internet boom. But events over the past year have drastically reduced its ability to remain afloat. Nevertheless, the site continued to grow in popularity, reaching 400,000 to 450,000 streams a week, according to a company spokeswoman.

iVillage talks radio with eYada

Online women's network iVillage.com says it has added new talk shows from eYada.com to its radio program. Under the deal, eYada, an entertainment network, will provide iVillage Radio with 60 hours of live original talk radio programming each week. The new programs include a husband and wife gossip duo, "Rush & Molloy" as well as topics that feature issues on health, fitness and relationships. iVillage Radio also features four music stations based on a variety of genres.
