Short Take: Japanese PC makers embrace K6-III

Several Japanese PC manufacturers will ship systems running on Advance Micro Devices K6-III processor, according to a report from Japanese business publication Nikkei. AMD's new chip, which was announced on February 22 and runs at speeds up to 450 MHz, will be included in computers from Epson Direct, Ado Electronic, Sofmap, Tsukumo, and Freeway, according to the report.
