Start-up Glam.com combines online magazine and Web mall, with help from Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue and others.
The parent company of Saks Fifth Avenue is folding its Web division back into the company's main operations in a cost-cutting measure.
Saks unveiled its first foray into e-commerce with the launch of a Web site offering merchandise sold in Saks Fifth Avenue stores. The site comes just over a year after the company decided to form its Internet unit. Saks is putting "luxury goods" on the site initially and said it plans to add a variety of merchandise by the end of next year.
