Nokia's Lumia 920 is heavy and thick, but if you want the most powerful, feature-rich Windows phone available, this is it.
With its fun design and cheap price, the Lumia 635 is a decent option to consider if you're after 4G LTE on a budget. It's only marginally more expensive than its near-identical 3G-only Lumia 630 sibling, so you should certainly opt for the 635. If you want a better selection of apps however, the Motorola Moto G is still the 4G phone to go for.
The Nokia Lumia 630 is a cheap, vibrant alternative to Android and its Windows Phone 8.1 software is easy to use. The app store is still a problem though -- if you like getting new releases when your Android and iOS-toting friends do, a budget Android phone like the Moto G is still the way to go.
Featuring a 5-inch screen and a 20-megapixel camera, the Lumia 930 is also one of the first handsets running the Windows 8.1 OS.

Steer toward Nokia's Lumia 1320 for an affordable supersize phone you can rely on, but not before checking out Android rivals with fancier specs and comparable price tags.
