Short Take: UC Berkeley confab on e-commerce framework

UC Berkeley's Center for Law and Technology is holding a two-day conference April 24 and 25 on an arcane piece of legislation that will profoundly shape the future framework of e-commerce in the United States. Known as Article 2B, the proposed law would be incorporated into the Uniform Commercial Code, a broad body of contract laws that operate in the vast majority of states. Article 2B will touch on crucial issues affecting the licensing of digital media, including information and software.
