Software maker Autodesk is set to launch an update to its flagship drafting application that is designed to make it easier for owners to use digital documents instead of paper.
Softscape debuted a new version of its technology for file viewing, conversion, searching and sharing on the intranet and Internet. QuickFind 98 allows users to find, view, convert, copy, and print formatted files from more than 225 formats without the applications that created them. It supports Microsoft Word 97 and Excel 97, Lotus 1-2-3 97, Freelance 97, and Netscape Navigator plug-ins, including Adobe Acrobat, Apple Quicktime, AVI Player, Corel CMX, Shockwave Director, and Softsource DWG. Pricing was not immediately available.
