Lycos Finance updates search tool

Online investment page Lycos Finance, a site operated by Spanish Web network Terra Lycos, introduced a new natural language search tool this week. The tool lets Web visitors ask basic questions and retrieve financial information, including research and analysis. The backend technology is powered by iPhrase Technologies, which also provides its tools to Yahoo Finance and TD Waterhouse. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. "iPhrase (technology) quickly retrieves the precise, critical data our users need to make important decisions regarding the market and their investments," said J. Stan Hjartberg, executive producer of Lycos Finance at Terra Lycos.
