As long as you don't need expert-level features, the 2013 AirPort Time Capsule is an excellent backup/file server for Apple fans -- especially for those with 802.11ac-enabled Macs.

Samsung Series 7 Slate PC - tablet - Windows 7 Pro 64-bit - 128 GB - 11.6" - 3G - AT&T

The Samsung Series 7 Slate 700T is the fastest Windows 7 tablet we've tested, and paired with its optional accessories, it provides a very laptop-like experience, but one marred by the typical awkward onscreen Windows typing experience.

Gateway DX4300-11

We're fond of the Gateway DX4300-11's clever design, but halfhearted performance scores mar its overall worth. The TV tuner and 1TB hard drive may tempt you to stick it in your living room as a media center PC, but your money is better spent on the Asus Essentio CG5270-BP004.

SanDisk Cruzer Titanium Plus (4GB)

SanDisk Cruzer Titanium Plus boasts an innovative set of features, fast data transfers, and a complimentary six-month online backup subscription, but we're put off by the subsequent annual service fee and the expensive retail price, especially when other drives at equal capacity cost much less.

Asus WL-500W 802.11n Multi-Functional Wireless Router

We like the Asus WL-500W for its wealth of unique features and its strong signal at long range, but its short-range throughput is substandard and there's no Gigabit Ethernet support. This is a good choice only for advanced users who will take advantage of some of router's USB features and aren't afraid to wade into those waters without help.
