Chief Executive Scott McNealy sees his compensation drop from $4.87 million in fiscal 2000 to $2.33 million in fiscal 2001 because of slowing revenue growth and lower earnings per share.
Hambrecht & Quist raised its fiscal 1997 earnings estimate on Microsoft from $2.10 to $2.33 per share after the company reported higher fiscal second-quarter earnings, according to a Reuters report. Hambrecht forecast 1998 earnings of $2.70 per share, and maintains a long-term "buy" rating on the company.
Ingram Micro announced a 30 percent increase in net earnings of $26.9 million for the third quarter ending September 28, compared to $20.8 million for the same period last year. Sales revenue was up 26 percent to $2.93 billion, compared with $2.33 billion a year ago. Ingram had an IPO of 20 million shares on November 1.
