VW's I.D. Buzz concept creates smiles for miles

This is the charming, adorable, I.D. Buzz. 

Volkswagen showed the thing off as a concept at the 2017 North American International Auto Show. 

But, now they're promising they'll build it! 

VW says the I.D. Buzz will be a production car by 2022. 

It's an all-electric car, with a battery pack situated in the floor. 

VW promises over 250 miles of range on a single charge, with over 350 horsepower!

But, given a thing like this probably doesn't need that much oomph, we wouldn't be surprised to see that figure drop before release. 

We were lucky enough to drive an early version, and while it is very early indeed, it was still a real joy. 

Even if you don't surf. 

We can't wait to see these on the road.
